kairos: the
critical moment
this installation
was exhibited only once, and no longer exists. the twelve boxes with black
exteriors were arranged in a circle facing inward, at the twelve points
of a clock. to see the work, the audience has to move into the circle
and turn from a point inside the circle, allowing only 3-6 boxes to be
seen at a time. in each box were three objects - a white draped figure,
a black & white pen & ink drawing, and a small black pyramid with
a frosted ball on the top. the pyramid was the kairos in each situation,
the figure the protagonist, and the drawing the antagonist.
