childwood

this series was named after a type of stone that i often found on the beach at lake huron as a kid, a type of layered limestone that reminded me of woodgrain. i used that type of stone to build the wall in the front of the piece called ‘childwood’, and began the series. this series contains some of my favourite works, and also signified the beginning of my works with oils, as well as my first portrait, which inspired the cycle of poems ‘the jonathan cycle’.
